This is NOT a low calorie sandwich however it is a delectable treat. Now the kids they can eat them on occasion because they burn calories just playing their IPODS!
I can have a quarter of one once in a blue moon. The taste is freaking amazing and making the sandwich or samich (as some Floridians call it) is a breeze. It is a slam dunk. You can use leftover mac n cheese or you can start from scratch. We usually use leftovers because like I said we can’t eat these all the time or we might need to tie ourselves on the elliptical!
It is so delicious so go for it cheese heads!
- 4 slices bread
- 4 slices white American cheese
- 4 slices crispy bacon
- 2 slices deli ham
- 2 cups leftover mac n cheese
- Arrange white American cheese on the top of each slice of bread. Top one of those slices with 2 pieces of bacon, 1 slice of ham and 1 cup of mac n cheese so as to create 2 sandwiches. Put pats of butter on one side of sandwich and place butter side down in skillet over medium low. Place more pats of butter on top of the not grilled side. When sandwich is toasted flip and toast other side.
