Prepare pie crust.

Bake pie crust until lightly browned.

Whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Combine the butter, water, flour, sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a saucepan and cook over medium  low heat.

Pour over the sliced apples and stir to coat.

Spoon into the pie crust laying the apples flat as you go.

Spoon the mixture evenly over the apples and place the pie on a baking sheet.

Cool for several hours before slicing.
