1/2cupchopped red pepper

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Spread the sauce. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella. Top with pepperoni, bacon and peppers. Sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and slightly browned. (see notes)
Notes
If a little more browning is desired turn the broiler on low for about 1 minute. Broilers are unpredictable so stay close by and monitor the situation. If your stove is ancient or you are not familiar with your broiler I encourage you to skip this step.
I like my French Bread Pizza made with light sauce however if you are a heavy sauce lover place the pepperoni on the French bread before adding the sauce. This will keep the bread from getting soggy from too much sauce.
To add a little more pizzazz to this recipe melt a few tablespoons of butter, add several cloves of crushed garlic and little fresh or dried parsley. Brush it on to the cut sides of the bread and pop it in the oven for about five minutes. Finish the rest of the recipe per the directions and reduce final cooking time to ten minutes. This a delicious addition if you have the time.
Add plenty of fresh shredded low moisture mozzarella. Low moisture mozzarella is very stretchy and will leave the pizza flavorful and crusty.
