Combine flour, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow wide bowl or plate with a raised edge. Whisk milk and eggs together in a wide shallow bowl. Combine panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan Cheese in a shallow wide bowl or plate with a raised edge.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees.
Coat the chops with the flour mixture, then dip them into the egg mixture, then into the panko breadcrumb/parmesan mixture. Lightly spray or mist both sides of the pork chop with olive oil.
Place in the air fryer and cook for 4 minutes. Gently flip the pork chops and cook for another 4 minutes or until the pork chop reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees. Let rest for 3-5 minutes and serve.
Notes
Always preheat the air fryer for about 3-5 minutes.
Pro-Tip - avoid the dreaded breading fingers and use one hand for the dry ingredients and the opposite hand for the egg mixture.
This recipe is written for chops that are cut about 1/2 inch thick.
If desired, spice it up with a little Cajun Seasoning, Old Bay Seasoning, dried oregano, or dried thyme.
Avoid overcooked and dry pork chops with an instant-read thermometer. Pork chops are cooked through enough when they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees.
These are best served about five minutes after coming out of the air fryer; if delayed, put the chop back in the preheated air fryer for about 1 minute.
I use Italian panko breadcrumbs for ease, but you can use regular panko breadcrumbs and add one teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or in the microwave at reduced power.
