Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter softened to room temperature
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Using a stand or hand mixer beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.  Mix in the brown sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  • Remove the mixer and stir in the mini chocolate chips.  Serve with assorted cookies, pretzels or fresh fruit.

Notes

  • For best results use full fat cream cheese and real cream butter.
  • Don't forget to offer pretzels as the salty sweet combination really hits it out of the ballpark.
  • This dip can be made up to 3 days in advance.
  • Mini chocolate chips work best in this dough but if not available you can substitute the full size chips.
  • Please refrigerate the dip until ready to serve and refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container. This dough should not be left out for more than about 2 hours.
