Ingredients
8ouncescream cheese softened
1cupsour cream
1ouncepackage ranch dressing mix
2cupsshredded sharp cheddar cheese
3green onions thinly sliced
½teaspoonfresh ground black pepper
6slicescrispy cooked bacon chopped or ½ cup bacon bits
Assorted chipscrackers, carrot sticks, celery stickers, and bell pepper wedges.
Instructions
Set aside 1 tablespoon of shredded cheddar, chopped bacon, and green onions.
Add the cream cheese, sour cream, ranch dressing, shredded cheddar, green onions, and ground black pepper to a medium mixing bowl. Stir in the chopped bacon. Beat the mixture with a handheld electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Spoon into a serving bowl and garnish with the cheddar, bacon, and green onions that are set aside.
For best results, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Notes
For ease in making the dip creamy bring the cream cheese to room temperature.
Real bacon bits can be substituted for the crisp chopped bacon.
Slice the green onions thin with a sharp knife. It is fine to use both green and white parts of the green onion.
This dip is also delicious served warm. Just spread it in a small baking dish and heat in a 400-degree oven for about 20 minutes. Garnish with green onions and bacon bits.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days
