This was so easy and so delicious. I am not a cook. I can’t follow the simplistic of recipes, but I followed this and it turned out great. Thank you!

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add rice and salt; bring back to a boil and simmer. Add milk and cook until thick and creamy.

Slowly whisk the egg mixture and sugar into the rice/milk mixture and cook. Turn off the heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.

This creamy old fashioned Rice Pudding comes together easily with fresh cooked or leftover rice. It is so velvety and luscious it will remind you of the pudding your grandmother used to make.
