Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk or almond milk
  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Add the milk, banana, cinnamon and vanilla to a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Serve promptly.

Notes

  • The riper the banana the sweeter the milk so use up those old ones sitting on counter with brown spots.
  • For best results use ice cold milk.
  • Whole milk tastes the best with this but you can use 2%, or skim. Non dairy milk options are almond, soy, goat, cashew, coconut, or oat.
  • For a thicker ice cold milk treat freeze the banana chunks for about 2 hours.
  • Feel free to add a scoop of vanilla or unflavored protein powder.  Or a sprinkle of chia seeds or flax seeds.
  • This is best served as soon as it is blended to avoid separation.
