Raspberry Margarita

Ingredients

  • 2-4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1.5 ounces Grand Marnier, Cointreau, or Triple Sec
  • 1.5 ounces white, silver, or Blanco tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries reserve several berries for garnish
  • 1/2-1 cup ice
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  • Spread sugar over a plate. Rub the rim of the glass with lime juice and run the moistened edge through the sugar.
  • Add Grand Marnier, tequila, lime juice, raspberries, and 1/2 cup ice to a blender. Blend until combined Add ice to desired consistency. If desired, add 1 tablespoon granulated sugar. Garnish with lime slices and raspberries.

Notes

  • Grand Marnier and Cointreau are pricey. Triple Sec is more budget-friendly and a good substitute.
  • Swap the raspberries in this recipe for blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, peaches, or mango.  
  • Use fresh or frozen raspberries. 
  • If you prefer the traditional components of the margarita, salt the rim. Either way, it's delicious.
