How To Make Cake Mix Cookies
This is a summary version; for the complete list of ingredients and instructions, please refer to the recipe card below.
- Mix the cake mix, fat, and eggs.
- Stir in any mix-ins. See above for ideas.
- Using a cookie scoop, drop the cookie dough onto a parchment-paper covered baking sheet.
- Bake until set and lightly browned on the bottom.

Tips For Success
- This works with any standard box cake mix, no matter the brand. Feel free to get creative. That is what makes it fun.
- See above for the types of fat to use. I use oil for the chocolate ones to achieve an extra-soft, moist texture resembling a brownie. Butter gives the cookies a rich, buttery flavor.
- Be creative with the mix-ins to add more texture, flavor, and variety to the cookies. Customize them to give your friends and family a unique taste experience.
