Ranch Chicken combines lightly breaded chicken breasts, pan-fried in olive oil, and drizzled with a creamy ranch sauce. It tastes so delicious and is easy to make.

It will quickly become a family favorite. Serve it with air-fried baked potatoes and sauteed green beans.
Ingredient Notes and Substitutions
See the complete list of ingredients on the recipe card below.
- Chicken cutlets: You can cut two chicken breasts in half lengthwise.
- Butter: Unsalted or salted. I prefer unsalted, as there is so much salt in ranch seasoning.
- White wine: Use a dry white wine you enjoy drinking.
- Chicken broth: Preferably, low-sodium so you can control the salt.
- Ranch seasoning: You can use homemade ranch seasoning or store-bought.
- Heavy cream: Whipping cream is a good substitute.
- Fresh herbs: Think dill, parsley, or thyme.
How to Make Ranch Chicken
This is a summary version; for the complete list of ingredients and instructions, please refer to the recipe card below.
Whisk the flour, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper in a wide shallow bowl. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, then pan-fry them in a bit of olive oil. Plate them and keep them in the oven on warm.

Melt the butter in the skillet over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and cook for a minute over low heat. Stir in the wine and reduce it by about half. Whisk in the chicken broth and ranch seasoning, and simmer for about 5 minutes. Whisk in the cream slowly and simmer until reduced by half. Add the chicken back to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the top.

Tips For Success
- Chicken cutlets are cooked in about 3-5 minutes on each side. Chicken is done when its internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. It browns best when left undisturbed until it is time to flip.
- Bring the cream to room temperature by heating it in the microwave for 1-2 minutes at 30-40% power.
- I love this recipe with chopped fresh dill. If you like dill, try it, you will love it.

Serving Suggestions
- Potatoes: scalloped potatoes, twice-baked potatoes, or smashed potatoes
- Vegetables: creamed spinach, roasted Brussels sprouts, or air-fryer asparagus
- Pasta: mushroom pasta, broccoli pasta, or garlic pasta
