Wish spring and summer in here with a refreshing Strawberry Daiquiri. Prepare the simple syrup ahead of time and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and make them when unexpected company stops by.

  • 4 cups frozen strawberries
  • 6 ounces white rum
  • 3 ounces simple syrup
  • 3 limes juiced
  • strawberries and lime slices for garnish

  1. Add the strawberries, simple syrup, rum and lime juice to a blender.  Then blend on high until smooth. Add more simple syrup if you would like it sweeter.  More lime juice if you want it more tart.
  2. If desired garnish with fresh strawberries and lime slices.

  • Don’t use ice as it just waters down the flavor.  Use frozen strawberries.  I have always found frozen strawberries to be really sweet as growers let them ripen more on the vine before picking.
  • Simple syrup can be made up to 4 weeks in advance.
  • Store simple syrup in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
  • Use a white rum like Bacardi. Not a dark or spiced rum.
  • Mix these as needed so they are refreshing and frosty.
  • For best results use fresh lime juice.  So get ready to squeeze those delicious fruits.
